Lachie is a clinical psychology registrar who works with both children and adults. Lachie is able to support clients with a wide range of challenges, including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, men’s mental health, chronic pain, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, and sleep difficulties. Lachie uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and principles of schema therapy. Lachie is also able to utilise virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) to support individuals with a variety of phobias and anxiety related disorders.
Lachie has a passion for psychological assessment, and can provide diagnosis and support for a wide variety of conditions and presentations, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, functional capacity, mood, and thought disorders.
Lachie also works with NDIS participants who are self- or plan-managed. In addition, he is experienced with workers’ compensation support, Child Safety Services engagements, and is able to undertake personality assessment for a range of clinical and organisational purposes (including firearms assessments).
Lachie uses a flexible, neuro-affirming approach in both therapeutic and assessment settings, ensuring his clients are given voice and agency in the process of working together.
