Dr Adela Marrone is a Clinical Psychologist. Adela has held a number of clinical, service development (policy), teaching, and research positions in Primary Mental Health, Adult Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Services, Youth Mental Health, and tertiary institutions in both Victoria and Tasmania. Adela has been working in private practice since 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in the field. Adela is also a Psychology Board of Australia Board-Approved supervisor.
Adela sees a broad range of presentations including clients with mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment, self-esteem, relationship issues, communication difficulties, stress management, addictive behaviours, anger management, trauma, and sleep disturbances. Adela is also a Board Approved Supervisor for the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program. Adela is trained in a number of therapeutic modalities and maintains a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her approach is practical and pragmatic.
Adela is also available to supervise psychology registrars seeking Clinical Psychology endorsement. Adela’s supervision style is focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment for clinicians to build their skills and confidence in delivering therapy to clients, with a focus on establishing a strong foundation in core competencies, critical thinking, adaptability, effective communication, self-awareness, and reflective practice.
